Depression therapy for days that feel heavy
I work with people who feel drained, distant, or stuck in a heaviness that gets in the way of daily life. We can look at what this feels like from the inside and what support makes room for you to talk about it.
What people bring me
People often come in feeling like everything takes more effort than it should. They may pull away from people, lose interest in things that used to matter, or move through the day on empty. Some feel numb, down, or hard on themselves for not being able to shake it. It can touch motivation, relationships, parenting, school, and the basic work of getting through routine tasks.
- I feel weighed down most days.
- I don't care about things the way I used to.
- Everything takes so much effort.
- I keep telling myself I should be doing better.
I pay attention to the heaviness and the parts of you that still want relief from it.
How I work with it
I listen for how depression shows up in your body, your thoughts, and your day-to-day life. Together, we look at the places where things have gone flat or heavy and what kind of support fits your situation. For children and teens, I also pay attention to school, home, and family dynamics.
What the first sessions look like
The first sessions are about what these days have been like and what the heaviness is getting in the way of. We talk about mood, energy, routines, support, and anything else that helps me understand your experience.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation. I reply as soon as I can, usually within 1-2 business days.
Questions people ask
How do I know if this is depression or just burnout?
People often wonder about that, and we do not have to solve it right away. We can start with what life feels like and what has changed for you.
What if I can't get myself to do anything?
That experience belongs in the room too. We can talk about what feels stuck and what getting through the day has been like lately.
Can depression look different in teens?
Yes, it often does, and it may show up in behavior, energy, or withdrawal more than words. I work with teens by paying attention to how they are expressing what they feel.
Do I have to tell my whole story?
No. We can begin with what feels most pressing and build from there at a pace that feels manageable.
